Aries Energy & Transport Corp., recently celebrated its 20 years, was founded in 2002 by Capt. Gabriel Petridis, who has accumulated more than 45 years of experience in the shipping industry being at sea from the age of 14 year old and being a captain in the age of almost 26 year old and after several years as responsible in the shipping sector he started his own shipping co in London in year 1991 with emphasis initially in the ships chartering and expanded from the next year in the ship owning and had developed and managed  over the years a fleet of about 150 ships of old types and sizes including gas carriers, reefers, bitumen chemicals , tankers dry containers etc.

His restless spirit and enthusiasm were always associated with the latter segment; his curiosity, working ethics, business mindset and determination pushed him to expand the Group's activities across differentiated industries and borders. Apart from holding a title as Captain, as of April 15th, 2021, Capt. Petridis is the Honorary Consul of The S.R. of Vietnam in Piraeus- Hellenic Republic.

With particular focus on the shipping industry, thanks to its credibility and outstanding reputation in the market, over the years the Group has successfully managed to:

• establish multiple private and public commercial partnerships
• participate in various work-out programs belonging to world renowned financial institutions such as The Bank of Scotland- Global Shipping Finance, Den Norske bank, etc, etc
• become one of the first maritime Greek-origin entities to be publicly listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange
• own a variety of assets both off and onshore accompanied by in-house services.
